We Graduate The Best & The Brightest

For decades, employers have prized graduates from the Department of Wood & Paper Science (WPS) at NC State University. The men and women who graduate from our program have not only been schooled in all scientific and practical principles relevant to their field, they have already been exposed to real-world challenges through extensive laboratory and field work, participation in outreach initiatives and by taking part in our active co-op and internship program. Our further emphasis on teaching 21st century communication, technology and leadership skills makes our graduates effective in all areas of their job from the start. Finally, our close alliance with industry means the WPS program is able to constantly stay on the cutting edge of new industry developments and can adapt quickly to changing industry demands. Our graduates leave WPS well-prepared to fill critical workforce needs and to contribute to their organizations from day one.

Each year, we assist employers in contacting WPS students who will soon be available for full-time employment. We also work with employers in setting up internships and co-op arrangements.
