Who We Are & What We Do
The Department of Wood & Paper Science (WPS) conducts interdisciplinary teaching, research and extension initiatives across the areas of wood products; paper science and engineering; and forest biomaterials. Through these activities, we create and promote new ways to derive sustainable value from nature, develop responsible leaders for the forest products, paper and pulp industries and contribute to the economic wellbeing of North Carolina and beyond.
