The FER Graduate Student Association is hosting a Service Learning workshop for graduate students in the College of Natural Resources (CNR) and the Department of Marine, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (MEAS). Lunch will be provided, but you must RSVP to Michelle Moorman.
Service Learning is an initiative from the NCSU Office of the provost that encourages the use of practical hands-on applications in teaching. The final product is often something of use to the community - thus Service Learning makes learning real and provides students with real world experiences.
If you are interested in learning more about Service Learning and how you can get experience in this field during your graduate studies, please consider attending the workshop.
